Voting for someone purely to get the other guy out of office is an irresponsible way to vote. So I propose this alternative: 1) Decides on some issues that you care about/affect you the most, 2) Compare the two candidates' views on these issues, 3) Vote for the candidate that best matches your view

Or be like me, and just not vote.
