That's a good sign, except that the server move also wiped out all the cron jobs, which means that the automatic update script did not run, which means today's comic did not get moved into the public folders, which means that you got served a nice big broken image for today's comic until I fixed it this morning. The RSS feed sufferred similar problems.
Interestingly, it seems my hosting is paid for through June 9, 2007, which has a month (and year) far removed from what I was expecting. Apparently all these server screwups keep pushing my plan's end date back further and further. With any luck, these screwups will keep occurring at the minimum rate for me to never have to pay for hosting again; at least not until the comic grows large enough that I need more than 50GB bandwidth/month. If you are feeling altruistic, tell all your friends, forums, and livejournals about me so that that can happen.
One last bit of new, so to speak... I'm debating buying a new domain for the comic. Something with "fodi" in it. Is there any opposition to this? I would buy fodi.com, except the people who control it apparently think that it is worth about $5000. If anyone has $5000 to donate for the domain name cost, feel free to donate it. No takers? Right, I didn't think so. On the otherhand fodi.net is a much more reasonable $900. Yeah right. What about fodi.org, you say? Well unless I want to join the Foundation of Operative Dentistry of India, I think that one is right out.
Don't forget you can donate $1 or more to get a free wallpaper that you probably don't need. That's a whole 0.02% of the way towards fodi.com! (In all seriousness, donations always go towards the comic... which pretty much means it pays for domain name registration and art supplies now, since I'll never have to pay for hosting again, it seems.)
