I finally remembered these forums still existed. And the comic, for that matter. Though the thought of going through at least a year's worth of comics makes me want to rip my hair out, so the jury's still out on that one.

Well, at least you don't have to read too much when it comes to the forum - everyone has been mighty quiet.  :)

Wibble!

Try the veal, it's nonexistent!

I am a little loopy right now, thanks to the realisation that I have worked 86 hours in 7 days.

Well, that made me giggle.  You should have heard my mom last night, she was really tired, so my sister's friend tried to teach her the words to the song that goes: "Let me see ya grill!" "You want to see my what?" "Let me see ya grill, ya, ya, ya grill!"  It was HILARIOUS!  :)  (of course, you had to be there...)

Hahah. I love that song. Sing it quite a bit, actually. Or any rap song for that matter, lol. Except not around people, though, because it either results in instant laughter lasting minutes or shocked faces & dropped jaws, and I don't like giving people heart attacks. Gosh, you'd think I'd been pole-dancing. The joy of being me. No one expects me to listen to rap. Or techno. Or hard rock/alternative, for that matter. Personally, I find it much more entertaining to listen to & watch my brother sing "Milkshake" by Kelis. It's so funny to watch a guy try to shake his nonexistent hips & dance while singing that.

Eh, I'm not much of a rap person.  A lot of it gets on my nerves, as I don't like repetitive stuff.  Some of it can be pretty catchy, though.  However, it really annoys me when little kids at work tell me about the songs they like, when some of the songs are pretty offensive (especially for a 3 to 8 year old!).  Kids shouldn't be exposed to that stuff, but they are.  I mean, do you really want to hear a little 8 year old girl singing "My milkshake brings all the boys to the town?" (Although I'm sure it *is* funny seeing your brother do it!  It is a pretty funny song if you don't think about it too much...)

I thought it was to the yard. She must have quite a milkshake to bring the boys to such a larger radius.

I like rap. I'm relatively safe from it though, because I don't realise that it's dirty until like 2-3 years down the road. I'm... special. Most rap is catchy, though. That's what stinks. It's the catchy stuff that's the dirtiest. Though, to be fair, nothing's really clean anymore, and that's an across-the-board thing, really. And, well, my brother is 25, so... I'm not so worried about him. ;) He's actually the one who exposed me to everything I listen to now. Otherwise all I'd really be listening to is oldies, classic rock & classical music. Though, his music taste sometimes scares me. I took a ton of his music and put it on my iTunes. I have songs on there I've never listened to or heard of. Some I'm just plain afraid to listen to, like "Octopornapuss" by Pimp Daddy Welfare (yet I haven't taken it off iTunes because I'm lazy - just hope nobody's looking at the songs I have on there). Yeah... then I felt the need to pay it all forward, and now Steve listens to rap when he otherwise wouldn't. Haha.

See? Exhibit A:

I love alliteration. You need to see V for Vendetta. A part at the beginning has the most spectacular alliteration ever. I want to marry whoever wrote it because it's amazing.

"VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

I'm happy to state I have no rap on my iPod, not even hip-hop, if I'm correct.  My sisters love to sing some lovely verses in the car just to drive me insane sometimes.  It's pretty funny, actually - especially when they sing/say every other word with one another.
