Just a thread to post reactions to the most recent comic.

Today's reaction:  I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the math jokes.

The correct answer, of course, is "Yes."

You can't see my comment on it (since apparently that part of the new backend is on strike), but this is also an inside joke.  Inside math jokes! Huh.  The title is more of an inside joke that the actual content of the comic, but all around, there is a lot of insideness going on here.

It's not on strike. It's... um... resting.

I'd fix all the problems, but can't seem to motivate myself to code more after 10+ hours a day. I should probably get off my ass and do that. I also need to go over storyline/writing stuff with Matt, but right now the only thing I think is funny is the horrible hack we had to use to get around a cyclic dependency so visual studio would compile our projects. I think software development jokes would be even more painful than math jokes ;)

What was the hack?  I run into that problem occasionally.

Well, as part of the build for each project, we copy the .dll to the folder that installshield picks up from... so instead of adding Project A as a reference to Project B, and Project B as a reference to Project A, we added the compiled DLL for project B to project A. It makes it really fun when there are changes to both that need to compile.. we have to do everything in a specific order.

Oh.  That's not the problem I thought you were having.

Yeah, we do that too.  In our workspace we generally have two projects, and one gets compiled to the dll (Usually ProjectBlahLib) before the other.

It's the mark of a wildly fluctuating mood.

Fluctuating is hard to type correctly.

Also, I'm going to sticky this thread, I think.

Sticky? Spiffy!

Yes, fluctuating is a strange word to spell correctly the first time through.  Finger-twister.

And on the note of Ken: Sucks to be him.     :P

*Sigh*  Yes, regardless of how much you can contort, squeeze and 'suck it in', it's always those damn breasts that get in the way of things.

This one may get me in trouble, but how do you "suck in" breasts?

I didn't actually say you "suck in"  breasts.  I was just saying no matter how you contort yourself to fit someplace, it's always the breasts that will innevitibly get in the way.
