So we're getting ready for an open-to-the-public beta (we've had a couple private betas) and I am working way too much this week. What's everyone else up to?

I hate web browsers.
Works on Firefox 2.0 (on my pc). Doesn't work on firefox 2.0 on someone else's pc. Works on IE6 on that other person's machine. Doesn't work in IE7 on mine.
Now I don't get to sleep tonight.

still here, still hate the lovely combination of server-side ASP.NET controls and client-side javascript and hate how the simple thing I want to accomplish seems to be impossible just because it requires a LITTLE BIT of cooperation between the two
At least I brought my (new!) tube amp and my DT770s and 40gb of music, so I can rock out while I swear at computers.

We need to save this thread and turn it into a story. "The Chronicles of Steve."

I just went home and showered, now I'm back trying to get SQL Server reporting services to work (we've got it working on one machine, but we need it on the other too). As usual, what works one place doesn't work another. I tried to finish the last little bit of code red today and found that it makes me feel sick to taste. Tonight we're all going out on company money... the beer will flow, oh yes.

You know, it amazes me that a 2ghz Core2Duo with 1GB of ram can be brought to its knees and froze by Visual Studio.
Wait, no, it doesn't.
It just annoys the F*CK out of me.
Thanks, Microsoft.

What are you doing with Visual Studio? Granted, we aren't quite using the up-to-date version. Ours just does us the favor of crashing and releasing all the memory it was using when it decides that it's just going to give up and fail.

Try 2005 Sometimes when building it SITS there for a minute or two, and doesn't let you move the mouse or anything.

Ohfun. I check yesterday afternoon, there are 8 users (4 of them us). I come in this morning? We've got about 200. Time to see whether or not we can scale
